Smith, Janetta Mary - New Minas, lost her battle to cancer on October 7, 2011 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville, Nova Scotia. Born in Wallbrook Mountain on January 21, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Ethel Pinch and Keith Munroe (of Wallbrook Mountain). Janetta loved flowers, playing cards, bingo and the Friday Night Country Music Jams with all her friends at the Wolfville Legion. She will be sadly missed by all of her surviving family, husband Robert - Blake쳌; sons Robert (Donna) Brooklyn, Hants Co.; Timothy (Angela Anderson), Kentville; daughter Marlene (Gordon Amberman) Farris, New Minas; Pinch brothers and sisters Earl (Mary), Hantsport; Morton (Linda), Ervin (Maryann), and Tom, all from West Brooklyn; Maynard, Kentville, Marie Schofield, Hortonville; Hazel Porter, Kentville; Francis, Ontario; Munroe brothers, Vance (Mary) Wallbrook Mt., Morris(Mable), Sackville; Laurie (Lenonia) Ontario; fourteen grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren; brothers-in law, Tom (Shirley) Canning; Ray (Lorissa) Ontario, sisters-in-law, Doris (Harry) New Minas; and Bertha, Ontario. There will be a visitation held on Sunday October 9, from 7-9 in the Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home, Wolfville, from where a funeral service will take place on Monday at 2 p.m., Rev. Ellen Hunt officiating followed by interment in Willowbank Cemetery. Donations in Janetta?¢s memory may be made to The Lodge that Gives.
