CLOWRY, Thelma Adelia (Miner) - 80, Hantsport formerly of Bishopville passed away peacefully with her family by her side on September 12, 2011 in Halifax. Born in Wallbrook, NS she was a daughter of the late Bret and Pearl (Brown) Miner. Thelma was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. Her strength and spirit will live on forever. She enjoyed being around family, especially while camping or hosting family gatherings and family suppers. She loved playing cards with her sisters and friends. Thelma enjoyed her regular Monday night bingo with Shirley. With kindness she reached out to her community and surrounding communities, always with a helping hand. You always knew she would be there without a doubt. Thelma was first and foremost a homemaker. She had worked at CKF in Hantsport and later owned and operated Avon Custom Framing. Thelma is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Manford; sons Danny, Black Rock, Burnette (Bonnie Stirling), Hantsport, Craig, Airdrie, Alta.; daughters Trudy (Reginald) Atwell, Grand Pre, Tanya (Ken Moore), Port Williams, Tina (Rick) Vaughan, New Minas; sisters Marie Rose, Wile Settlement, Lenora Harper, Bishopville, Mary Frank, Calgary, Pearl Myles, Bishopville, Evelyn Miner, California; fourteen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents Thelma was predeceased by brothers Jack, Roy, Tom, Jake and sister Lova Morine. There will be no visitation by request. A graveside memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday September 15, 2011 in the Bishopville Cemetery with Rev. Dan Jamer officiating. Family flowers only. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bishopville Cemetery or the Bishopville Baptist Church.
