ROBAR, Winnifred - Winnie쳌 Myrtle - 81, Berwick, Kings Co., passed away on July 5, 2011 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Lake Paul, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Wilma (Acker) Robar. Winnie loved to quilt and knit. She was very community oriented; was a member of the Morristown Baptist Church and for years was a member of the Sewing Circle. Winnie made the best beans in the world and always enjoyed baking for her family. Everyone will miss her for her amazing smile. She will be sadly missed by her son, Bryan (Diana), Calgary, AB; daughters, Debbie (Garth) McDow, New Ross; Kathy (Tony), Berwick; brother, Paul (Marjorie), Aylesford; grandchildren, Kevin McDow, High Prairie, AB; Troy (Morgan) McDow, Mahone Bay; Brandon Burns, Berwick; Ryan Burns; Berwick; Josh Robar, Calgary, AB; Justin Robar, Calgary, AB; Angela Robar, Calgary, AB; Tanya Robar, Calgary, AB; six great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Winnie is predeceased by her parents; husband, Ronald; and sister, Marjorie. Visitation for Winnie will take place from 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, July 7, 2011 in the Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home, 192 Commercial St., Berwick, N.S., B0P 1E0, (902-538-9900), from where a funeral service will take place on Friday, July 8, 2011 at 2 p.m. with Reverend Douglas Porter officiating. Interment will take place in the Morristown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers; donations in Winnie?¢s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Foundation.
