Horne, John Arthur - 65, passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 in the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born in Halifax, he was the son of the late Louis and Ruth (Davison) Horne. John retired from MT&T after 32 years of service and became a Financial Consultant until his passing. He was the Chair of the Avon Valley Golf and Country Club three times and also received an Honorary Membership for his voluntary service. John was on the Executive of the Branch #9 Royal Canadian Legion in Windsor; as well as on the Executive of the Windsor Curling Club. He also was a former President of the Gyro Club in Windsor. John will be greatly missed by his wife Margaret (Norman); daughter Lori (James Bent) Sabean, Middleton; sister Nancy Lou (John) Beaulieu, Halifax; grandson Ryan Sabean, Middleton; and many nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation or funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donations in John?¢s memory may be made to the Hants Community Hospital Palliative Care, Canadian Red Cross Kings County Division, or a charity of choice.
