BAXTER, Myra Hazel?ì³ 62, of Port Williams, passed away May 7, 2011. Born in Ellershouse, she was a daughter of Vera Geraldine Baxter (Cochrane), Dykeland Lodge; and the late Clarence "Caddie" Baxter. She was employed as a cook for many years throughout the Valley. It was at these jobs Myra made many lifelong friends, too many to mention. She loved her cats, Honey and Sookie, music and camping. In addition to her father and brother, Clarency, she was predeceased by her loving companion, Sidney Merrett. Surviving in addition to her mother, are her son, David Sanford of Alberta; grandson, Larry Sanford also of Alberta; brothers, Earl and Judy Oromocto, N.B.; Leonard and Sharon of Lawrencetown; Garnet and Rosalie of Blanford; Fred and Linda of Springfield; Michael and Heather of Aylesford; sisters, Sharon and Wayne Burgess of Eastern Passage; Audrey and Bob Crowell of Union Corner; sister-in-law, Joanne Baxter of Calgary; stepson, Michael Merrett of Port Williams; as well as many nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation by request and a private family service at a later date. Many thanks to the staff of Valley Regional Hospital for their care and support over the last three weeks.
