TAYLOR, Vera Viola� -� 91, Aylesford, Kings Co., passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2011, in the Glades Lodge, Halifax. Born in Greenwich, Kings Co., she was a daughter of the late Charles Eli and Pearl Alice (Griffin) Pudsey.� Vera was a member of the Aylesford Baptist Church, where she had been a member of the church quilting group and the W.M.S. Vera was a loving mother and family member and will be sadly missed. She was well known for her homemade bread, baked beans and card games on Saturday nights as well as deliciously fresh doughnuts that were enjoyed by everyone. Surviving are her son, Robert Wayne (Judith Ann), Utopia, N.B.; daughters, Roberta Jean (Harold) Hiltz, Hammonds Plains; Marianne Louise (Charles) Woodworth, Berwick; grandchildren, Jeff, Jodi (Mike), Gregory (Jill), Heather (Robert), Wade (Tobi), Lisa (Gerald) and Shawna (Mike);� great-grandchildren, Brodie, Amanda, Brittany, Brady, Zachary, Madison, Hayden and Evan; brother, Charles Griffin, U.S.A.; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Gerald Oswald Taylor; sons, John� Edward; William Charles; brothers, Lawrence, Henry and Clarence Pudsey; sisters, Alice Vaughn,� Mildred Pudsey, Stella MacKenzie and Hilda Woodbury.� Visitation for Vera will take place from 7-9 p.m., Friday, in the Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home, 192 Commercial St., Berwick, N.S., B0P 1E0, (902-538-9900).� Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 16, in the Aylesford Baptist Church, 2543 Hwy # 1, Aylesford. Rev. Clyde Lowe officiating with burial in the Aylesford Union� Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia. The family would like to thank The Glades Lodge and Northwood Home Care for their excellent care of Mom during the last few years.
