BOWEN, David George - 70, died suddenly at his home in Victoria Beach, NS on March 31, 2011 after three years of ill health. He was born in Edmonton, AB. He lived and worked in British Columbia, Alberta, & Manitoba; before moving to Eastern Canada where he headed manufacturing firms in Montreal and Huntingdon, PQ., and Vermont. In 1980 he returned to his beloved West working in manufacture and sales of oil field equipment until his 1996 retirement in NS. David had 45 years with his wife Mary; they raised one son, David, who is now serving in the Canadian Armed forces. In earlier years David was an avid golfer and a seasoned traveler; later he enjoyed a quiet country life and grandfather-hood. David is survived by his wife Mary; son 2nd Lt. Dave Bowen Canadian Forces (Juanita); and his granddaughter Anna. Cremation has taken place. Donations in David?¢s memory may be made to a charity of choice.
