BROWN, Irene Gwendolyn (McInnis) - 90, Wolfville formerly of Greenfield passed away March 26, 2011 in Wolfville. Born in Greenfield she was a daughter of the late Aubrey and Pearl (Green) McInnis. Irene was a homemaker. She loved walking, gardening, picking berries and making preserves. She also enjoyed crochet, knitting, making bread and living in Greenfield. Irene is survived by her sons, Archie (Marg), New Minas, Ivan, Wolfville, Gordie (Brenda), Greenfield, Arnie, Wolfville; daughters, Carol (Murray) Davidson, Gaspereau, Betty Walsh, Kentville; 5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents Irene was predeceased by her husband Lawson; brothers Ray, Jim and Roy; sisters Minnie Schofield, Effie Rogers, Pansy Sutton and Francis Taper. Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 on Tuesday March 29 in Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home, Wolfville. A private graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Greenfield Cemetery with Rev. Gary Manthorne officiating. Donations in memory of Irene may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or to the Greenfield Cemetery.
