I was sad to learn of Megchr(39)s death. I knew her from highschool and band. I remember her quirkly sense of humour (something we shared), her quiet gentleness, and her smile. My sympathies are with you - her family and close friends. I hope that you find comfort in the love and support of friends and in your loving memories of Meg.

To Megchr(39)s family,
I never really got to know Meg, although I would have liked to. She attended a few sessions of my tai chi class a couple of years ago, with lots of enthusiasm in spite of a great deal of pain from the cancer in her bones. It broke my heart that this beautiful, courageous, young woman had such advanced cancer. I kept hoping there could be some way to turn it around, but more often than not she would call to say she wasnchr(39)t feeling well enough to come to class. Nevertheless her inspirational positive spirit shone through.

The gift of loss, if there can be one, is that it brings the rest of us in touch with our full ability to know love. And Meg was someone who always inspired love. She was a dear friend who brought out the best in others with her laughter, her clever sense of humour, her genuine and deep caring of others and of the world around her, and her never failing capacity for optimism and hope. Meg also had a gift for being at once high spirited and emotionally deep and understanding of lifechr(39)s complexities. I will always carry, with love and gratitude, the gift of Megchr(39)s warm, genuine spirit in my heart. My heartfelt condolences to Andy, Milo, Gus and to Megchr(39)s parents and sisters and the rest of her family. May her memory be a comfort and a blessing to you.

Dear Bob and Hilary and Family. Peter and I are very saddened to hear that your beloved daughter, Meg, has died after a courageous battle with breast cancer. We can only imagine how heartbreaking it must be to lose a daughter. It was wonderful that you had her home again for the last two years so that you could spend time with her and give her the love and support she needed. We are sorry that we never had the opportunity to meet such a talented, caring and unique individual. We hope that your wonderful memories of Meg will provide you with some solace at this time and the months to come. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.
With deepest sympathy,
Peter & Lynda Rice

I wish I could be home at this time for you and your family. I was very happy to see Meg this last summer while I was home from Winnipeg. I had a time to talk with her and discuss things. My wife Nadine remembers Meg and Chrystal playing flute at our wedding. The talent of Meg was boundless and she was always so happy and cheerful. I wish so very much to be home at this time to offer my support and to be with my sister and your family. I wish I could do more, other than to say a few words that seem to me to not be nearly enough. I very much feel like I have lost a part of my family. I hope that I will have a chance to see you the next time I am home in Nova Scotia.
Wishing you all the best at this time,
Andrew & Nadine

Dear Bob and Hilary, I am sending you me deepest sympathy in the passing of your daughter, Meg. I have read she came back home when she was diagnosed, cherish those precious memories. I am still saddened by my sister, Sandychr(39)s death to cancer at the age of 53, she was younger than me, I still question why it happened. A parent should not have to bury their child, as you know, my mom, May has had to bury two, Geoff and Sandy. You and your extended family are in my thoughts and prayers as you go through your difficult days.
Sincerely - Jean (Stevens) Bevan

Dear Family of Margaret Sircom,
Please accept my condolences on your loss.
I found comfort in the hope offered in the Bible for our loved ones at Psalm 37:29 which says: "The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will reside forever upon it."
We are assured that when the earth is cleansed of wickedness, and it is restored to a paradise like the Garden of Eden as God originally purposed, our loved ones will return to life on earth in good health. (Isaiah 33:24)
John 5: 28, 29 tells us that "...The hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out ..."
In the Lordchr(39)s Prayer that most of us pray, we ask for Godchr(39)s Kingdom to come and His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Then there will be no more sorrow or pain as we are promised at Revelation 21: 4. It reads in part, "... He will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.ââ?¬ÃÂ
I hope these words bring you a measure of solace in your time of loss.
You may also find comfort in the message contained in the pamphlet ââ?¬Ã
?When Someone you Love Dies.âàI would be glad to send it to you free of charge or obligation.
Sincerely,
Sandra Sullivan

Dear Hilary, I was very sad to read of your daughterchr(39)s passing, and indeed you have been on my mind since. (I hope you will remember me; you used to do bookfairs when I was principal at the Greenwood Base schools.) Our daughter Kristin passed away on this day in 1998 following a car accident, and so I understand some of the grief you must be feeling. Please accept our deep sympathy in your loss. I can only say that family and friends do help immeasureably, as much as there is help for such a loss.

I am so sad to hear of the loss of such a kind, generous, intelligent and witty person. I was privileged to know Meg both at Horton and at Kingchr(39)s and she was truly a uniquely beautiful spirit. It is a huge loss to all those who knew her and especially to her family. I will be saying a prayer for all of her family as well as a prayer of thanksgiving for Megchr(39)s life.
(And I want to send an extra hug for my friend Gill.)

Dear Bob & Hilary,
I was saddened to see your daughterchr(39)s name in
todaychr(39)s obituaries. While she clearly lead her life to the fullest based on her write-up, my mother once made the comment that a parent was not meant to survive their children (as she too had lost my older sister Ann at a young age). I see Meg chose to come home to be close to you during her battle with cancer, which I am sure was a comfort
to her.
Trusting your memories of her will help you during this difficult time.
Sincerely,
David Morse

I was very sorry to read about Megchr(39)s passing. Our health is so precious and it is sad to see and impossible to understand why someone becomes susceptible to this awful disease of cancer. She seemed to be such an accomplished individual and Ichr(39)m sure you are all proud of her legacy.

Although I went to school with Gill, I do remember Meg as a kind and super-scholastic girl. She seemed to be very focused on which direction she wished her life to follow and it is sad that her life was so short. I offer both my condolences and prayers to your whole family at this time of heartache yet know you will cherish the memories you have of Meg.

I hadnchr(39)t seen Meg in years, but she was one of the most beautiful people I have ever known. She was my friend. We played soccer together, went to school together, did gymnastics together. We nicknamed her "Toad". If she left the same print on everyone she met as she did on me, and I have no doubt that she did, then the world is a much more beautiful, funny and good place wherever she went. Goodbye Meg. Thanks for everything. I hope we meet again.
