SCHOFIELD, Donald Robert - Donì³?? 80, White Rock passed away on January 17, 2011. Born in Berwick he was a son of the late Austin and Mabel (Delahunt) Schofield. Don was known for his work on vehicles and small engines that he did in his garage, and loved the challenges that he often faced with mechanics. He was always willing to help his family, friends, and neighbours whenever he could. He had worked for more than twenty five years with Port Williams Agencies until his retirement. After retiring Don was self employed doing service work for local farms. Don is survived by his daughter Wanda (Darren) Whiston, White Rock; son Terry (Margaret), Port Williams; sister Pauline Blackburn, Brockville, Ontario; brother in law Steve Lucki, Agassiz, British Columbia; grandchildren Nathan (Karen), Amy, Kalee (Josh), Katelyn; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents Don was predeceased by his wife Shirley (Crouse); brother Alfred; sisters Helen in infancy, Muriel Lucki and Marguerite Freeman. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Thursday in Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home, Wolfville where the funeral service followed by a reception will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday January 22, 2011 with Rev. Ellen Hunt officiating. Burial will be in the Hillaton Cemetery at a later date. Donations in memory of Donald may be made to the Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the charity of choice.
