Cromwell, Kelvin Donald - 54 of Southville, NS passed away peacefully at home on December 25, 2010 surrounded by his loving family. Born on March 12, 1956 in Danvers, NS he was the son of the late Donald and Norma Cromwell. Father, grandfather, brother, uncle and a great friend to all who knew him. He will be forever remembered and profoundly missed. He spent part of his career in the military service. Then he became a carpenter by trade, graduating with honors in cabinet making from Burridge NSCC in Yarmouth. He enjoyed playing baseball, backgammon and cards and really enjoyed music. Surviving are his partner Wanda Gaudett, daughters Sabrina and Aisha Hum and son Keldon Hum. Granddaughters Naykia, Janaysha, Jaiosha and Ndeya Hum. Sister Bonita (Curtis Sparks), Sheila, Neldena and Dawn Cromwell. Brothers Travis, Darren (Linda), Jonathan and Crandel Cromwell. And Wanda's children Nadine, Justin, Jill Gaudett and Carrie and Roy Barr.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brother Blanchard Carl and sister Yvonne. Grandparents Melvin (Jennie) Cromwell, Frederick (Mildred) Tynes, several aunts and uncles and partner Virginia Barr. Cremation has taken place. Service will be held at 11am at St. Theresa's Catholic Church, Southville on December 30, 2010 with Fr. Keith Billard officiating. Donations in Kelvin's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Tri-County VON or a charity of choice.
