MEISNER, Vivian Pauline (Brown), 82, Cambridge Station, NS, passed away on December 14, 2010 in the Grand View Manor. She was born in Lakeville, NS but Vivian was raised in Halls Harbour. She was the daughter of the late Stanley and Viola (Irving) Brown. Vivian loved to bake and was famous for her strawberry shortcake, turkey dressing, and roastbeef gravy. She enjoyed knitting, reading, doing Lexicon puzzles, and she took particular pride in sewing her daughter?¢s dresses. Vivian was a long time member of several groups such as the Kentville Legion Ladies Auxiliary and bowled in the mixed league in New Minas. She was employed with various retail shops throughout the Valley. Vivian will be remembered as being a very friendly, outgoing, and people-oriented person. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Ronald, son Garland, son-in-law Clarence Gammon, and her brothers Garfield, Kenneth, Freeman, and Irving. She is survived by her son Hugh, Cambridge Station, Kings Co., NS; daughters Geraldine Gammon, Red Deer, AB, Dale (Gordie) Johnson, Halifax, NS, Barb (Dick) Allen, Lumsden Dam, NS, and Sherry (Stan) Brown, Red Deer, AB; sister Mary Fraser, Berwick, NS; grandchildren Chris Jackson-Meisner, Stephen (Debbie) Gammon, Adam (Maja) Gammon, Derek Johnson, Amy (Jody) vanKippersluis, Robert Allen, Jonathan (Cindy) Meisner, and Jason (Kara) Brown; and great grandchildren Cody Gammon, Curtis Gammon, Adrijana Gammon, Marko Gammon. Visitation will be held on Sunday December 19, 2010 at 7 pm in the United Baptist Church, 503 Main Street, Kentville, NS; where a funeral service will also take place at 2 pm on Monday December 20, 2010. Burial will be held in the Cambridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Vivian?¢s memory may be made to the Alzheimer?¢s and Diabetes Association.
