Sandra Sullivan posted a condolence
Friday, November 5, 2010
Dear Family of Harry Turner,
Please accept my condolences on your loss.
I found comfort in the hope for our dear loved ones that is expressed in the Bible at Psalm 37:29 which says: "The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will reside forever upon it."
We are assured that when the earth is cleansed of wickedness, and it is restored to a paradise like the Garden of Eden as God originally purposed, our loved ones will return to life on earth in good health. John 5: 28,29 tells us that "...The hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out ..."
In the Lordchr(39)s Prayer that most of us pray, we ask for Godchr(39)s Kingdom to come and His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Then there will be no more sorrow or pain as we are promised at Revelation 21:3,4. It reads in part: "... And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.ââ?¬ÃÂ
I hope these words bring a measure of comfort in your time of loss.
Sincerely,
Sandra Sullivan

Harry held supervisory position when each of us worked at CKF years apart. I (Audrey) will never forget his words to me when I went to him in frustration because I felt I could not keep my bins low enough to allow me time to go to break. Without hesitation he quipped, "If you are that stupid to stand at the bin with no break, then you deserve it!" At the time his words seemed so hard but I came to truly appreciate them as they held truth to many life lessons and I now remember those words and Harry with great fondness. When Tom worked a plate sale and was trying to overly please the customers, Harry counselled him to "just give them what your hands fall on first." An A-1 citizen and leader who will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Dear Susan,
Just finished reading your Dadchr(39)s obituary. So sorry for your loss. Both my parents are gone now. Mum made it to 75 and Dad to 80. Ichr(39)m pleased to see that your Mum is still living for it is such a blessing. This made me go to our class yearbook and you and I are beside each other. We only knew each other basically for that year as you were from Hantsport. Before that I think I met you in the summers through Yvonne Blanchard. Hope life has been good to you. Your Dad sounds like he was a wonderful person and I hope you and your family can focus on his memories.
My condolences,
Brenda

Dear Maxine, Susan, Buddy, Steven, Michael & Scott and families,
I was so very sorry to hear of Harrychr(39)s passing. As neighbours on the "Hill" for 55 + years, we have many, many happy memories to remember and cherish. John Morse, your husband / Dad and my Dad were born 1 month apart (June, July & August 1925). They were hard working, family oriented, good men, with the wisdom to build homes and raise families on Maple Avenue in Hantsport. Having just lost our Dad in March this year, I can feel your sadness, but also joy in that we were blessed to have them in our lives for these many years. I loved getting Harrychr(39)s hugs, seeing the sparkle in his eyes, and enjoying the conversations filled with laughter we always shared. I will miss him, too! To all of you, my deepest sympathy, and a warm hug for each of you.
Andrea

Dear Maxine: I was so sorry to hear of Harrychr(39)s passing. He was a very dear friend to both my parents, driving my father to the hospital that last time and being such a support to all of us at the funeral home - he even took my teary tissues and disposed of them for me - I was so touched and will always remember this gesture of thoughtfulness. He played cards with my mother long after she could really play, but it meant so much to her and she always told us she won! It truly made her day.
On Saturday I was thinking of him and telling the story (that he never told) of the time he came to the kitchen door, which my mother opened for him ( but he didnchr(39)t see a thing!) All of us laughed at the memory of that!
I know your husband touched the lives of so many people and will be sorely missed - I hope your memories of a long life well lived will be a source of comfort to you.
Most sincerely, Anne and Charlie Cole

Dear Maxine and Family:
I wish to extend my deepest sympathies to you and your family on your loss of Harry. Harry and I had wonderful conversations while I visited him in the hospital. We chatted about his time in the Navy and his favorite places that he had visited, the Gypsum boats in Hantsport and everything in between. I enjoyed my time with him and he always made sure to make me feel welcomed. It was a chance meeting that I meet Harry, but over the past two months, I feel that he has taught me so much. My new journey has been enriched by Harrychr(39)s journey. I am blessed to have known him if only for a short time. You and your family are within my thoughts and prayers. Condolences, Kym Burke-Cole, Windsor United Church Intern
