Obituary of William Cleveland

CLEVELAND, William Archibald - Bill쳌 - 80, New Minas passed away November 20, 2010 in Valley Regional Hospital. Born in Kentville he was a son of the late Harold and Blanche (Collins) Cleveland. Bill loved his grandchildren who knew him as - Papa쳌. He enjoyed gardening and feeding birds. He was happily married to his beloved wife Lillian (Rushton) for 60 years who he enjoyed going driving together with. Besides his wife Bill is survived by his daughter Debbie (Graham) Cleveland-Foster, Windsor; sons Brian (Sarah), Brantford, Ontario, and Richard (Linda), Kentville; grandchildren Ashley Foster, Jenn Foster, Mark Foster, Dylan Cleveland, Riley Cleveland and Cheri Davison; sisters Jackie Rogers, Doris Morrison, Marguerite Townsend; brother Lawrence; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents Bill was predeceased by sons Harold, David; daughter Wendy; sisters Louise Landry, Florence Hughes, Jean Bates, Beatrice Clarke, Pauline Andrews; brothers Donald, Robert, Avery. The family would like to thank Dr. Sinclair and the nursing staff at Valley Regional Hospital for their care and support. At Bill?¢s request there will be no visitation or funeral. A private family burial has taken place in the Elm Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill?¢s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia.
