ERNEST, Lawrence Alton - 73, Berwick, Kings Co., passed away on Wednesday, November 17, 2010, in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Rockland, Kings Co., he was a son of the late Elvyn and Mary (Nauss) Ernest. Lawrence was a member of the Berwick United Church and was an associate member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Ortona Branch No. 69, Berwick. He was an avid square dancer and had belonged to the Belles and Beaus Square Dancing Club. Lawrence loved music, playing cards, the outdoors and camping. Surviving are his wife, Barbara R. (Seamone) Ernest, Berwick; sister, Maleta (Brenton) Wagner, New Germany; half-brother, Cecil (Myrtle) Eisnor, Cornwall; sister-in-law, Eleanor Ernest,Ã?ÃÂ South Berwick; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Colin and Claude Ernest. Visitation for Lawrence will take place from 7-9 p.m., Saturday, in the Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home, 192 Commercial St., Berwick, N.S., B0P 1E0, (902-538-9900), from where a Royal Canadian Legion and Funeral Service will take place at 2 p.m., Sunday, November 21. Rev. Linda Winton officiating, with burial in the Berwick Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations in his memory may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion, Ortona Branch No. 69, Berwick, or to the Valley Regional Hospital Capital Campaign - Our Community our Healthì³.
