Obituary of Alice Hilda Hersey

Hersey, Alice Hilda, 85, Digby, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 12 in Tideview Terrace, Digby. Born in Sussex, England, she was a daughter of the late Arthur James and Mary Alice (Evans) Scott. Hilda was a war bride, coming to Canada aboard the Ile de France in 1946. She was a long time member of Trinity Anglican Church, Digby where she was a member of the choir, Merry Nites and Altar Guild. Completely devoted to her family, friends and pets, Hilda will be greatly missed. Besides her parents Hilda was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Robert Hersey. Surviving are sons, Roy and Robert (Christina), both of Digby, daughters Christine (Dean) Pyne, Seabrook and Elaine (Greg) Turner, Smith?¢s Cove; sister Olive Edge, Newcastle-under-Lyme, England; grandchildren Shelley, Krista, Angela, Lisanne, Jesse and Max; great-grandson, Sonny. A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, November 16 at 11 AM in Trinity Anglican Church, Digby, Rev. Don Ruggles officiating. Burial to follow in Forest Hills Cemetery, Digby. Memorial donations may be made to TLC Animal Shelter, Tideview Terrace or charity of choice.
