JAMES (George), Eleanor Mary Elizabeth, 98, Wolfville, passed away at the Wolfville Nursing Home on July 30, 2010. Born in Camrose, AB on December 22, 1912; she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Nellie (Turner) George. Eleanor worked as a secretary for many years. She enjoyed sewing, and loved to play a good game of bridge; but above all, her favorite pass time was reading. She is survived by her step-daughter, Grace Fisher, ON; step-son, George James, ON; several step-grandchildren, and several great step-grandchildren. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Harrison, and her brother Donald George. Cremation has already taken place and by family request there will be no service or visitation. Interment will be held at a later date in the Brookfield Cemetery, Brookfield, NS. Arrangements are under the care and direction of H.C. Lindsay Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 5 Leverett Ave, Kentville, B4N 2K5 (902) 678-2151. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice.
