Obituary of Freda Mae Henshaw

HENSHAW, Freda Mae, 89, Lockhartville, passed away peacefully at home, Sunday June 20, 2010. Born in Wolfville, she was a daughter of the late Evelyn Spencer. Freda is survived by her loving husband of fifty-nine years, Richard, sons: David (Jeannie), Ronald (Stephanie) and Darrell, daughters: Evelyn (Eugene) Caldwell, Donna (Gary) Weagle, Margaret (Rodney) Parr, and Sherry (Mark) Smith, as well as, 22 grand children and 24 great grand children, and sister Winnie Henshaw. Besides her mother she was predeceased by son Ralph, grand daughter Ashley Henshaw, brothers, Eldon and Frank Spencer, and sister Elenor Spencer. Cremation has taken place and no visitation by request. A graveside service will be held Thursday, June 24, at 2:00 pm, in Willowbank Cemetery, Wolfville, Rev. Gary Manthorne officiating. A reception will follow the service at the Hantsborder Hall, Hantsborder. Family flowers only. Donations in memory of Freda may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
