Obituary of Arnold Robert Jordan

JORDAN, Arnold "Arnie" ?쳌 77, Yarmouth formerly of Weymouth, passed away June 12, 2010 in the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Digby, he was a son of the late Lovett Sr. and Hilda (Amon) Jordan. Arnie was a member of the armed forces in his younger years; later on he was a scallop fisherman and a carpenter. He enjoyed playing darts, cards and hunting. He was a member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch #67 Weymouth. He is survived by sons Arnold "Junior" (Donna), Marshalltown, Mark (Natasha), Culloden; Derrick, Yarmouth; Ronnie Peirce, Edmonton, Alberta; daughters, Kathy (Alden) Graham, Lake Midway; Patty (David) Lombard, Centreville, Digby Co; brothers Ronnie, Plympton; Lovett "Bug" (Betty), Brighton; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Marguerite "Daisy" Jordan, daughters, Darlene, Elizabeth; sisters Phyllis Quartermaine, Edith " Edie" Prime. There will be no visitation by family request. A memorial service will be held Wednesday June 16, at 11 a.m. in Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, Plympton, Father Keith Billard officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Plympton. Family flowers only. Donations in memory may be made to Holy Cross Cemetery.
