WARD, Phyllis May - 74, Nicholsville, Kings Co., passed away on Tuesday, June 1, 2010, in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Berwick, Kings Co., she was a daughter of the late Kingsley S. and Evelyn M. (Palmer) Spinney. Phyllis was a member of the Harmony Baptist Church. She worked at Scotian Gold, Coldbrook and been a home maker most of her life. Surviving are her husband of 55 years, Ervin C. Ward, Nicholsville; daughters, Barbara Ward, Aylesford; Carolyn (Allan) MacCullough; Kathleen (John) Schmeisser, all of Dartmouth; grandchildren, Michael (Jennifer) Ross, Saint John, N.B.; Scott (Liz) MacCullough; Vanessa (Thomas) Clark; Johnny Schmeisser, all of Dartmouth; great-grandchildren, Robert Ross; Skyla and Cassie Clark. Besides her parents she was predeceased by grandchildren, Lori Ross and Jason MacCullough. Visitation for Phyllis will take place from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m., on Friday, in the H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home, 192 Commercial St., Berwick, N.S., B0P 1E0, (902-538-9900), from where the funeral service will take place at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 5. Rev. Donald Rafuse officiating, with burial in the Aylesford Union Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations in her memory may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia, the Canadian Diabetes Association, or to any charity.
