SWINDELL, Margaret Bernice - 83, Burlington, Kings Co., passed away on Wednesday, May 26, 2010, in the Halifax Infirmary, QEII, Halifax. Born in Burlington, she was a daughter of the late Robert Boyd and Jennie Love (Chute) Swindell. Margaret owned and operated her own mixed farm, farmed all of her life and had always lived in the house where she was born. She was always available to anyone in their time of need and her door was always open.Margaret was an adherent of the Burlington Baptist Church, very active in community affairs and enjoyed woodworking. She was a life-long member of the Progressive Conservative Party. Surviving are a foster daughter, Deanna (Dave) LeBlanc, Morden and their children, Jimmy Lee, Joey and Logan; nephew, Cary (Evangeline) Swindell, Burlington, and their children, James Ryan (Jennifer) Swindell and Keri Lynn Swindell and Keri?¢s children, Alyssa Ogilvie and Jordan Ogilvie. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Edward Boyd - Bud쳌 Swindell; nephew, Kenneth Swindell. Visitation for Margaret will take place from 7-9 p.m., Sunday, in the H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home, 192 Commercial St., Berwick, N.S., B0P 1E0, (902-538-9900), from where the funeral service will take place at 2 p.m., Monday, May 31. Pastor Tim Bigelow officiating, with burial in the Berwick Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or to the Burlington Community Club.
