Obituary of Delphine Hope Leopold

LEOPOLD, Delphine Hope ?쳌 87, of New Ross passed away Sunday May 9, 2010, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in New Ross, she was a daughter of the late Ira and Beulah (Redden) Rafuse. Delphine was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed caring for her family. She loved quilting and made many beautiful quilts for friends and family. Delphine was a member of the New Ross Baptist Church and Mill Road Baptist Auxiliary. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Delphine is survived by her sons, Victor (Doreen) Leopold, New Minas; Medford (Paulette) Leopold, Lakeville; Tim (Cindee) Leopold, Hammonds Plains; daughters, Judy (Carl) Thomander, Kentville; Joanne (Margeson) Reeves, New Ross; sisters, Elaine (Doran) Corbin, Lakeville; Rose (Harley) Leopold, Lemister; Yvonne Leopold, New Ross; brother, Sheldon (Joyce) Rafuse, New Ross; 19 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Delphine was predeceased by her husband, Harvey Leopold; daughter, Ferne and son-in-law, Peter Keddy; sister, Lynne Walker; brothers, Dean and Bruce Rafuse. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday May 13, in New Ross Baptist Church. Pastor David Hine officiating. Interment will take in New Ross Baptist Cemetery. A reception will follow in the Royal Canadian Legion Hall. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of H.C. Lindsay Funeral Homes & Crematorium P.O.
