Obituary of Leslie Raymond Sanford

SANFORD, Leslie Raymond, 76, Centre Burlington, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Cogmagun on March 6, 1934, he was the son of the late Raymond and Helen (Shaw) Sanford. Leslie spent his life farming. He is survived by his loving wife Zeta (Taylor), children Theresa (Irving), Barb, Dan (Wendy), Bruce (Beth), Wendy (Marilyn), Gayle (Geoff), Paul (Bonnie), Marilyn (Chris), John (Julie), 19 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Leslie is also survived by brothers and sisters, Rita (Reg), Milton (Linda), Grant (Eileen), Charlotte, Emmerson (Diane), Lorna (Gord), as well as several nieces and nephews, and grandnieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Leslie was predeceased by daughter Sandra, sister Lillian Power and son-in-law Ron Beck. Cremation has taken place and no visitation by request. There will be an informal Celebration of His Life on Saturday, May 1, 2010 from 2:00 - 4:00 PM at the Centre Burlington Hall. A private family interment will take place at a later date. No flowers please, by family request. Donations in Leslie?¢s memory may be made to the Burlington and District Activities Club or to a charity of ones choice.
