COCHRANE, Beverly (Betty) Ann, 72, Windsor, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born in Falmouth, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Lena (Benedict) Taylor. Betty worked for Avon Valley Golf & Country Club as canteen manager for several years. She was a hard worker, devoted mother and family was her life. She was deeply loved, and will be sadly missed by daughters Patricia (Bill) Ward, Walton; Marlene (John) Doolan, Kingston, ON.; sons Brian (Becky), Windsor; Martin (Paula), Windsor; brothers Ron (Betty)Taylor, Kingston; Fred (Faye) Taylor, Hamilton, ON.; sisters Phyllis Smith, Three Mile Plains; Miriam Parker (Henry), Windsor; Joan (Lorimer) Armstrong, Kempt Shore; Faye (Don) Brooks, Three Mile Plains; Doreen Hunter, Windsor. Grams was a caring grandmother to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers Gary and Danny Taylor, infant granddaughter Shelly Cochrane, and great grandson Zackery Carson. In lieu of flowers, donations in Betty?¢s memory may be made to Muscular Dystrophy Canada. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or funeral service at Betty?¢s request. There will be a private family graveside service at Riverview Haven Cemetery, Brooklyn, at a later date. The family would like to thank all staff of Unit 200 and Unit 500 at the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor for the compassionate and loving care they showed to their mother.
