Obituary of Perry Stanley Horsman

HORSMAN, Perry ?ì³ 75, passed away on March 26, 2010, the QEII Health Sciences Centre, after a long illness with cancer and Parkinson's disease. He is survived by, and will be deeply missed by his wife, Hilda; daughters, Judy and Shonda; son, Derick and grandchildren, Aaron and Skyeler. He will also be sadly missed, and was loved by his sisters, Dolly Beeler (Reg), Donna Dingle (John); Gloria Hartling (Victor), and Sandra Newell (Jim). Perry was predeceased by his parents, Christina and Perry Horsman Sr. Perry's family would like to thank Dr. Ivar Mendez, Paula Chaisson, and the Red Cross Society for their care and attention over the last few years. Much appreciation goes to the staff of 8.2 Unit and to Del MacKinnon and staff of the Emergency Department at the QEII for their excellent care and attention. Perry was a long-standing and respected member of the local congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. He was a carpenter and master plasterer and will be missed for the artistry he employed while practicing his craft. Cremation has already taken place. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, March 31, at 2 p.m., in The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 210 Parkland Dr., Halifax. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Red Cross Society would be greatly appreciated.
