DAUPHINEE, Violet Gwendolyn ?쳌 81, of Windsor formerly of Port Williams, passed away March 26, 2010, in Windsor Elms. Born in Three Mile Plains she was a daughter of the late Ansel and Nellie (Swinemar) Dauphinee. Violet was a resident of Port Williams from the age of 20 until 2008 when she eventually moved into Windsor Elms. She was employed at the family grocery store in Port Williams, "Murphy's Lucky Dollar", for over 40 years. Violet was a member of Port Williams United Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school, a member of the choir and a member of the Loyal Workers. Family was very important to Violet. She loved to have family and friends come to visit and she would entertain with tea and a luncheon. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Violet is the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by sisters, Vera Parker, Hilda Spicer, Dora Murphy, Ruth Coffill, Audrey Tracey; brothers Burt, Gordon and Murray. Visitation for Violet will be Tuesday, March 30, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in Serenity Funeral Home, 568 Main St., Wolfville. The funeral will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. in Port Williams United Baptist Church, Rev. Dr. David Ogilvie officiating. Burial will be in Jaw Bone Corner Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Violets memory may be made to Port Williams United Baptist Church Memorial Fund. Special thanks goes to the staff of Windsor Elms for their continued comfort and care.
