Schofield, George Allen - 76, Berwick, Kings Co., formerly of Dempsey Corner, Kings Co., passed away on Monday, March 22, 2010, in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Dempsey Corner, Kings Co., he was a son of the late Clarence J. and Norma V. (West) Schofield. George was a member of the Aylesford Baptist Church. He enjoyed music and was a fan of blue grass in particular. George enjoyed the outdoors, camping at the Bay of Fundy shore and was always ready with a story and a joke. Grampie alwaysenjoyed Nannie?¢s cooking. Surviving are his wife, Mary J. (Moody) Schofield, Berwick; sons, Gerry (Annette), Aylesford; Joe (Sharon), Squamish, B.C.; Jim (Jan), Nictaux; daughter, Cristal Myles, Little Harbour, Pictou Co.; 11 grandchildren; brothers, Hugh (Beatrice), Angus, Ont.; John (Evelyn), Belleville, Ont.; Charlie (Joyce), Fort Erie, Ont.; sisters, Margaret Patterson, Bridgewater; Norma Luther,Halifax; Mary E. (Don Thompson) Schofield, Ottawa, Ont.; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Gary; brothers, Dave, Joe, Phil and Robert. Visitation for George will take place 6-8 p.m., Friday, in the H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home, 192 Commercial St., Berwick, N.S., B0P 1E0, (902-538-9900), from where the funeral service will take place 2 p.m., Saturday, March 27. Rev. Donald Rafuse officiating, assisted by Rev. Clyde Lowe. Burial in the Aylesford Union Cemetery.
