Obituary of Delmar Merlin Taylor
Please share a memory of Delmar to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
TAYLOR, Delmar Merlin, 79, Greenwich, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, March 7, 2010. Born in Saskatchewan, he was a son of the late Harvey and Susan (McBain) Taylor. We would like to thank our family, many friends, and neighbors for their love and support during his lengthy illness, and special thanks to his doctor, Dr. Barbara Ross whose friendship and devotion he adored. Also, we would like to thank the palliative care team, VON, and Home Care for their considerate care and his sister-in-law Phyllis, for being there to help his wife Lois, daughter Lane (Hugh), and son Rick (Cheryl), providing the strength they needed and will need to carry them through this difficult time. He sadly leaves them behind, along with his grandchildren, Troy, Renee, Tyson, Amanda, new great grandson Chase and brother Murray. Del passed bravely with a smile to join hands with his youngest son Clarence, who has been waiting since October 8, 1979. He was a member of the Elks Lodge for thirty years, holding the Exalted Rulers chair and many other chairs. At Del?¢s request, there will be an Elks Lodge Service and interment. This will be held later this year in Quesnel, BC, at the Quesnel Municipal Cemetery, Elk?¢s Section. In lieu of flowers, donations in Del?¢s memory to the Valley Regional Hospital, or to a children?¢s organization would be appreciated. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Serenity Funeral Home & Crematorium, 568 Main Street, Wolfville, NS, B4P 1E7. Cards and letters of sympathy may be sent to this address or on-line at www.serenityfuneralhome.ca.
