WRIGHT (Meagher), Marie Frances -- 83, Wolfville, died Sunday, February 7, 2010, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Windsor, 1926, she was a daughter of the late James P. and Anne T. (MacDonald) Meagher. Marie grew up in Windsor, graduating from Windsor Academy and then graduated from the Halifax Infirmary, in 1948 as an RN. She worked in numerous hospitals in Nova Scotia, Cape Breton, and Ottawa. Upon retiring, she and her husband "Chuck" moved to Medford Beach, Nova Scotia. They travelled extensively, and then they moved to Wolfville in 2005. Marie is survived by children, John (Colleen), St. Bruno, Que.; Anne (Paul) Millett, Dartmouth; James (Inge), Ottawa; Patrick (Elizabeth), Chilliwack, B.C.; sister, Ellen Alexander, Hantsport; grandchildren, Rick (Lisa), Jeffrey (Angela), Hayley, Michael, Kate, Michael, Matthew; great-grandchildren, Jessica, Braidon, Keegan, Ryan, and Taylor. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Marie was predeceased by her husband, Chuck; sons, Charles and Michael; brothers, James, Patrick, and sister, Peg Lemieux. Cremation has taken place, and there will be no visitation by family request. A funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Belcher Street, Kentville on Tuesday, February 16, at 11 a.m. with Father Sean Cahill officiating. Following the service, a reception will be held in the parish centre. Interment will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Sackville, at a later date. No flowers by her request, and donations in Marie's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or to a charity of one's choice.
