Obituary of Margaret Anne Jefferson
Please share a memory of Margaret to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Margaret Ann (Boudreau) Jefferson, 89, died peacefully on March 10, 2013, at Valley Regional Hospital after a lengthy struggle with heart disease. Margaret was born September 27, 1923 in Wedgeport, Yarmouth County, the daughter of Hilda and Clarence and adopted daughter of grandparents Henri and Annie Boudreau. Margaret had many talents, especially creating beautiful quilts, knitting and was a wonderful cook. Those talents extended to teaching her grandsons how to drive, and helping her great grandsons with their french lessons. She had a love for life, and lived it to the fullest, skiing in the Laurentians, tuna fishing off of Wedgeport and travelling with her family and her friends to different countries. In her professional life, she enjoyed her work as a pharmacy assistant. She was a beautiful and remarkable person with a loving and generous nature, always giving to others. Margaret is survived by her best friend, daughter Sylvia (Bob); grandsons Scott and wife Rachel, Daniel; great grandsons Taylor and Seth and their mother Sherry. Also surviving are her brothers Michael, William, Raymond, Bobby, and Joseph; sisters Elizabeth, Joanna, Helene and Vi. She leaves the wonderful memories shared by her very special friend Don, whom she met during the war years, lost contact with and then rekindled when both widowed. They were able to share some wonderful times before time took its toll. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by husband Denys, brothers Ernest and Pierce, son in law Bill. The family wishes to thank the staff at Wolfville Nursing Home for the last seven years of caring for Mom and to Valley Regional Hospital for their wonderful care and support during her stay there. There will be a graveside service at a later date, at Bog Road Cemetery, Liverpool, NS. Memorial donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or the Canadian Arthritis Society.
