Obituary of Mary Joan Watkins

Watkins, Mary “Joan” – 96, of Dartmouth; passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2013 in Glasgow Hall, Dartmouth, NS. Born in Bath, England; she was a daughter of the late Albert and Annie (Harris) Grandfield. Joan is survived by her sons John (Karen Viva-Haynes) Bent, Toronto, ON; Roy (Georgina) Bent, Yarmouth, NS; Robert (Victor Vasquez) Grandfield, Halifax; daughters Wendy (Darko Brakus) Kling, Ottawa, ON; grandchildren Scott Bent, Ottawa; Eric (Jeannette) Bent, California; Amanda Bent, Toronto; Ashley Kling, Ottawa; great grandchild Sam Bent; Luke Bent; and sister Mavis Cameron, Falmouth, England. Besides her parents she is predeceased by her first husband, William Bent, and second husband Leslie; brothers Jim Grandfield; sisters Ethel Roberts and Priscilla Harding; and brother-in-law Jim Cameron. In keeping with Joan’s wishes there will be no visitation or service. Arrangements are under the care and direction of H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home and Serenity Crematorium, Wolfville.
