Obituary of Marion Esther Jones

Jones, Marion Esther – age 96 years of Blue Mountain, Kings Co. passed away peacefully at the Grand View Manor in Berwick on March 18th, 2013. Born in Glasgow Mountain, Cumberland Co., she was the daughter of the late Albert and Laura DeAdder. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She worked for many years at the ACA Co-op in New Minas. She was predeceased by her husband of 61 years Thomas Jones in 1997; brothers Victor, Basil, Cecil and William; sisters Annie Boylan, Dolly Medicraft, Lillian DeAdder; sons in law John Ring, William Adams and Arnold Adams. She is survived by her daughters Marie Adams of New Ross and Ethel Adams of North Alton; grandchildren Anna Hiltz (Garry) of New Ross (whom she resided with for 4 years), Jeanette Reeves (John) of the Forties, Hope (Mike) Lewis of Ottawa, Loran Adams of New Ross, Wanda Foley of Port Wade, Glenda Schofield (Brad) of Black River, Heather Harvey (Roy) of New Minas; sister in law Peggy DeAdder; 16 great grandchildren and 14 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews by which she was lovingly called “Aunt Manie”. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 24th, 2013 from 2-4pm at the Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home Chapel, 568 Main Street, Wolfville. Funeral Service will be held at North Alton Baptist Church at 2pm on Monday, March 25, 2013 with Rev. Leon Langille and Pastor Karen Doucette officiating. Burial will take place in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill. Family flowers only please. Donations in memory of Marion may be made to the Alton Baptist Churches or Grand View Manor.
