Georgie Christina (Huntley) Jess - It is with sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother on February 19, 2013. She was born September 4, 1913 in East Hallâs Harbour, daughter of Joseph and Mary Huntley. She attended Kentville Academy and graduated from Mack Business College. She worked as a stenographer in Kentville and Annapolis Royal and later as a telephone operator for Maritime Tel & Tel. She was married to the late E. Russell Jess and lived most of her married life in Scots Bay assisting her husband in the country store and on the farm. In 1973, they retired and moved to Centreville where she spent the rest of her life. She loved her family and friends. She was always kind, generous, and hospitable. She loved to spend time sewing, knitting, crocheting, and playing Scrabble was her favorite past time. She was an active member of the Centreville Congregation of Jehovahâs Witnesses and enjoyed sharing her spiritual hope with others. She is survived by her four children, Wayne (Ruth), Mary Lou Tupper (Don), Bernard (Judy), Blair (Linda); her 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her parents, her brother Joshua Huntley and sister Madeline Allen as well as many other loving family members.
