MEAGHER, Rose Ellen - 54, Woodville, Kings Co., passed away suddenly on Sunday, February 21, 2010, at home. Born in Marville, France, she was a daughter of the late James A. and Joan R. (Doherty) Meagher. Rose had been involved with Centre Stage Theatre, Kentville, for many years as she loved to act and in particular taking part in musicals. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Parish, Berwick. Rose loved cats, dogs and German Shepherds in particular. She had been a member of the Canadian Kennel Club and through her love of horses had been a supporter of the Nova Scotia Morgan Horse Association. Surviving are her brothers, Jim Meagher, Upper Sackville; Tom (Lonnie) Meagher, Lacombe, Alberta; nieces, Rachael and Mackenzie Meagher; nephews, Dorin Ladoceaur, Dylan, Nolan and Mitchell Meagher; great nephews, Jonas, Devin and Ahmad. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Anne Marie Meagher; brother, John Meagher. Visitation for Rose will take place 2-4 & 7-9 p.m., Monday, in the H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home, 192 Commercial St., Berwick, N.S., B0P 1E0, (902-538-9900), from where a Prayer Service will take place at 7 p.m. Monday evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 2, in St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 120 Mill St., Berwick. Rev. Fr. Sean Cahill officiating, with burial in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lower Sackville, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
