Obituary of LeRoy Connors

Connors, LeRoy Ernest - 75, of Grand View Manor, formerly of South Waterville, passed away Friday 13, 2008, in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Black Rock, he was the son of the late, Harvey and Retta (Gould) Connors. LeRoy worked as a bus driver for Perry Rand Ltd. in Kings County, for approx. 30 years. He farmed all of his life on the family homestead. LeRoy will be sadly missed by many family and friends. He will be dearly missed by granddaughter Tara. LeRoy is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Shirley Connors, Cambridge; son, George, Halifax; daughter, Sheila (Richard) Pierik, Cambridge; granddaughter, Tara; brother, Robert (Gladys), Rockland; sisters, Elizabeth (Henry) Chapman, South Waterville; Violet (Everett) Dalton, Prospect; Doris Usher, Waterville; Margaret Pynch, Waterville; and many neices and nephews. Besides his parents, LeRoy was predeceased by his brother, Donald; sisters, Barbara and Thelma; brothers-in-law, Ira Usher and Gerald Pynch. Visitation for Mr. Connors will be held from 7-9p.m Tuesday June 17, in the H.C Lindsay Funeral Home 192 Commercial Street, Berwick, N.S B0P 1E0 (902-538-9900), where a funeral service will be held at 2p.m Wednesday June 18 with Rev. Charles Bull and Rev. Elizabeth Johnson officiating. Internment will take place in the Berwick Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Grand View Manor Resident Van Fund.
