SELIG, Susan Ann ?쳌 55, Bridgewater, formerly of North River. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and friend, on Thursday, October 29, 2009, with family by her side, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Born in Bridgewater, she was a daughter of Lorna (Hirtle) Arenburg, and the late Laurie Arenburg. Susan was employed at Zellers Family Restaurant, Bridgewater, where she leaves behind valuable co-workers and customers. She loved gardening, going for walks with Richard, and spending time with granddaughter, Amy, feeding ducks at the pond. She was a strong woman and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and friend. Her greatest source of pride was her family. Besides her mother, Lorna (Hirtle) Arenburg, Susan is survived by her loving husband, Richard, Bridgewater; daughter, Kelly (Robert) Bezanson, New Minas; granddaughter, Amy Bezanson, New Minas; stepchildren, Gayle (John) Selig, Ninevah; Lee (David) Selig, Halifax; Rachel (Clarke) McCrimmon, Upper Kennetcook; Rebecca (Scott) Selig, Halifax; step grandchildren, Jeremy, Katie, Luke, and aunt, Grace Hubley. She was predeceased by her father, Laurie Arenburg; aunt, Georgina Robar; uncles, Kenneth Arenburg, Maxwell Arenburg; maternal grandparents, Blanche and Charles "Charlie" Hirtle, and paternal grandparents, Harry and Stella Arenburg. Visitation will be held in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, North River, Lunenburg County from 12-1:30 p.m. on Monday, November 2, followed by the service at 2 p.m. with Rev. Larry Ehrhardt officiating. Burial will follow in Epworth United Church Cemetery, New Germany. Family flowers only. Donations in Susan's memory may be made to The Rose Fund, C/O Health Services Foundation, PO Box 492, Bridgewater, NS B4V 2X6, or to a charity of one's choice. Susan's family would like to thank the nursing staff of South Shore Regional Hospital, The Lodge That Gives, VG Site, QE11, The Dickson Centre, the VON, the Palliative Care Team, all who took great care of our mother. Also thanks to numerous extended family, and dear friends who visited, called, sent cards and prayers for Susan during her illness. Your love and prayers of support has sustained us and our families at this extremely difficult time and will in the days ahead. It is truly appreciated. We give thanks always to God for our mother and letting her experience such a fulfilling life. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Serenity Funeral Homes & Crematorium, PO Box 239, Port Williams, NS, B0P 1T0. Cards and letters of sympathy may be sent to this address or on-line at: www.serenityfuneral.com "Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep.
