85, Somerset, Kings Co. passed away on Monday October 13, 2008, at home. Born on December 30, 1922, in Church Point, Digby Co., he was a son of the late Joseph and Margaret Thibault. Gus had worked during the 1960's as a farmer for Wilfred Horsnell and for Lewis Chute doing cement work. In 1972, he began working at Larsen Packers Ltd., Berwick, receiving a Safety Campaign Certificate in 1983 and retiring in 1986. Surviving are his daughter Gena (Reg) Dempsey, Victoria Harbour, Kings Co.; grandchildren, Erin & Victoria Dempsey, Victoria Harbour; Daniel Rogers, Yarmouth; sister, Zita Comeau, Seabrook, Digby Co.; several nieces & nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Mary C. (Muise) Thibault; brother, Leo Thibault; sisters, Katherine Saulnier; Ceceile Romain; Mary Sisco; Evelyn MacLeod. Visitation for Gus will take place 7-9 p.m. Friday in the H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home, 192 Commercial St., Berwick, N.S., B0P 1E0, (902-538-9900), from where the funeral service will take place on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. Deacon, Mr. David Hasler officiating, with burial in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Kentville.
