72, Waterville, Kings Co., passed away Monday September 29, 2008, in the V.G. Site, Q.E. II, Halifax. Born in Berwick, he was the son of the late Wilfred and Marion (Pinch) Strong. Carl was a painter all of his working life and had been employed by Wylie Hazelwood, Stuart Johnstone and at 14 Wing Greenwood. He enjoyed playing cards. Surviving are his wife, Roseline (Eisnor) Strong; son, Tim (Shelly) Strong; granddaughters, Tamara & Taylor Strong; brother, Wilfred "Junior" (Polly) Strong; sisters, Irlene Hamilton; Jean (Len) Dotten; Shirley (Muck) Reading; Marg (Bill) Agovino; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Bud Strong; sister, Evelyn Anderson. There will be no visitation. Funeral service for Carl will take place 2 p.m. Sunday October 5, in the H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home, 192 Commercial St., Berwick, N.S., B0P 1E0 (902-538-9900). Mr. Stuart Johnstone officiating.
