Obituary of Alta Taylor

77, Grand View Manor, Berwick, Kings Co., passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2009, in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Stoney Island, Barrington, Shelburne Co., she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Eva (Quinlan) Reid. Alta had been a resident of Berwick, for a number of years. She enjoyed knitting and her visits from family and friends and had a great love for collecting Knickknacks and will be sadly missed by many family and friends. Surviving are her children, Myles (Darlene), Upper Cornwall; Paul (Debbie), Antigonish; Roger, Saint John, N.B.; Glenn, British Columbia; Allison, Alberta; Paulette (Clarence) Duffney, Lunenburg; Carolyn (the late Garnet) Hall, Shubenacadie; Vivian (Ralph) Taylor, Alberta; Crystal (Tim) Beals, Waterville; 28 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; brother, Arthur, New Brunswick; sister, Joyce (Joe) Hardiman, Ontario. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Paul Taylor; son, Clayton; brother, Freeman Reid. There will be no visitation. Funeral service will take place 1 p.m. Friday April 3, in the H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home, 192 Commercial St., Berwick, N.S., B0P 1E0, (902-538-9900). Rev.
