WEBSTER, Edward James "Eddie" -- 66, Kentville, Kings Co., passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2010, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville, after a long hard fought battle with CLL Leukemia. Born in Hillaton, he was a son of the late Glendon Silver. He worked at ACA Hatchery Division for more than 20 years, retiring in 1994 due to health problems. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed hunting, working on old cars, camping, and always looked forward to the Mahar Family Reunion every year. Edward is survived by his wife of 40 years, Norma Jean (Harvey) Webster; daughter, Bernadette (Rickey) Fraser, Canning and their children, Kelsey and Hannah; sons, Roni (Tammy) Webster, Berwick and their children, Alyssa, Tyler, Bailey, and Claudia; Leonard (Christina) Webster, Mount Denson and their children Daniel and Joseph Edward; sisters, Judy Crocker, New Minas; Janet Martin, North Kentville; Sharon (Jack) Dill, New Minas; Wendy Claypole, England; brothers, Glendon Jr. (Kimberly) Silver, Centreville; Willis (Fern) Silver, Factorydale; Bernard Crocker, Windsor; Wade (Theresa) Crocker, Canning; Larry (Shirley) Crocker, Kentville; Gary Jordan, Melanson Mountain and Farrell Jordan, Coldbrook. Besides his parents he was predeceased by stepfather, Percy Crocker; stepmother, Elsie (Dominey) Silver; sisters, Dorothy Crocker (in infancy), Brenda Fraser and brother, Steven Crocker. A funeral memorial service will take place at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 23, in H. C. Lindsay Funeral Chapel, Kentville, with Rev. Ellen Hunt officiating. Interment will take place at a later date in Chipman Corner Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Eddie's memory may be made through Serenity Funeral Home.
