89, Cambridge, Kings Co., formerly of Aylesford, Kings Co., passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2009, in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Bridgetown, Annapolis Co., on April 7, 1920, she was the fourth daughter, the sixth of eight children born to Joseph and Lucy (Dodge) MacLean. The last surviving member of her immediate family, she was predeceased by her brothers, Hector, Donald, Alex, Harry; her sisters, Elizabeth "Betty" Kent; Phyllis Schofield Sangster; Jean Foley; grandson, Kenneth Burke. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Donald Charles Roberts, Cambridge; her daughters, Donda Lee Roberts, Whitby, Ont.; Dorothy Jean (Richard) Johnston, Dartmouth; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. Cremation has taken place and at her request no funeral service will be held. Donations in her memory may be made to the Valley Regional Hospital Foundation, the Salvation Army or to any charity. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the H.C.
