Obituary of Faith Schofield

87, Halifax , formerly of Kentville, passed away Thursday December 11, 2008 in Glades Nursing Home, Halifax. Born in Woodside, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Cora (Eldershaw) Swinimer. Faith and her husband, Lloyd raised their family in the Valley. She was a member of the St. John's Anglican Church in Port Williams and worked at the Sanatorium for many years. After retirement, she and Lloyd moved to Halifax to be closer to family. She will be sadly missed by her many family and friends. Faith is survived by her husband, Lloyd Schofield, Halifax; sons Lloyd (Edith) Schofield, Brookside; Darren (Stephanie) Schofield, Halifax; daughter, Elaine (Vance) Vaughan, Grand Lake; 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Besides her parents, Faith was predeceased by her brother, Raymond; sisters, Eunice, Joyce and Nora. In place of visitation, the family will receive friends at St. John's Anglican Church, Parish of Cornwallis, in Port Williams on Monday December 15 from 1 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2 p.m., followed by a reception in the Parish Hall. Rev. David Garrett officiating. Interment will take place in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
