Power, Ethel Hope - 88, of Aylesford, Kings Co. passed away Friday August 22, 2008, in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in New Germany, Lunenburg Co. she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Evelyna Meisner. Predeceased by former husband Clayton Ernst Sr.; husband Victor Power, infant sons, Franklin Dean, Byron Clayton; brother, Gerald, sisters, Dorothy Oickle and Pauline Conrad. Survived by a sister, Lorna Mailman, brother, Lowell Meisner, children, Sylvia Forsythe, Patsy Hopkins, Evelyn Alexander, Jocelyn Barkhouse, Clayton Ernst, Lorie Wilson, 10 grandchildren. Ethel worked at Grand View Manor on the nursing staff for a number of years. She was known to be a mother to numerous children as well as her own. Faithful member of St. Mary's Anglican Church for 50 years. Cremation has taken place & there will be no visitation at the funeral home. The will be a joint Funeral Service for Ethel and her husband Victor (who passed away July 23, 2008) at 1 p.m. Saturday September 6, in St. Mary`s Anglican Church, 20 Morden Rd., Auburn. Rev. Charles Bull officiating, with burial in the St. Mary`s Anglican Cemetery. Donations in memory may be made to any charity. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of the H.C.
