89, Aylesford, Kings Co. passed away Wednesday July 23, 2008, in the Grand View Manor, Berwick. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Laurier & Minnie Power (of East Jeddore). Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Bernice Baker - Hopkins; sisters, Elizabeth & Doris; brother, Gerald; step-daughter, Dora Goodwin. He is survived by his brother, Cyril Stillwell; three step-daughters and two stepsons; also survived by his present wife, Ethel Hope Meisner Ernst - Power & six step-children. Victor was a veteran of the second world war, had worked as a merchant marine for 18 years and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Ortona Branch # 69, Berwick. He started employment with Nova Scotia Power in 1955 and retired in November 1984. Victor had served as warden at St. Mary's Anglican Church, Auburn. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or service at the funeral home. Interment will take place at a later date in St. Mary's Anglican Church Cemetery, Auburn. Donations in his memory may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion, Ortona Branch # 69, Berwick. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the H.C.
