94, of Windsor, formerly of Centerville, passed away Wednesday July 23, 2008 in Dykeland Lodge, Windsor. Born in Kingsport, she was a daughter of the late Clifford and Sadie (Schofield) Webb. Erma worked as a Post Mistress for many years in Centerville. She loved baking and cooking for her family. She will be sadly missed by her many family, and friends. She will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by her grandchildren. Erma is survived by her daughter, Marlene Hollett, Falmouth; grandchildren Cary and Wendy; great grandchildren, Chad, Brody, Carlee and Maddison; sisters, Isobel Denty, Halifax and Jean Harrison, Vancouver, B.C. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Albert Porter ; brother, Russell Webb; sisters, Viola, Mabel and Ora. There will be no visitation for the late Mrs. Porter. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday July 26 from the H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home 5 Leverett Ave., Kentville (902-678-2151). Rev. Robert Billings officiating. Interment will take place in Lakeview Cemetery, Lakeville. Donations in memory may be made to Dykeland Lodge, Windsor or to a charity of choice.
