96, of New Minas, passed away Wednesday September 19, 2007 in Evergreen Home For Special Care, Kentville. Born in Montreal Quebec on April 15, 1911, Gigina was a daughter of the late Guilo and Madleine (Lucente) Mordente. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Gigina is survived by husband John MacDougall, Halifax; son, Douglas, New Minas; daughters, Madeline, St. Catherines, Ont., Nancy, Florida; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, Gigina was predeceased by husband Clinton Gaul; second husband, Clifford Hiscoe; son, Joseph; daughter, Pamela; brothers, Pasquelle, Arthur; sisters, Antoinette, Angelina, Emily, Asunta, Alicia, Mary. There will be no visitation or funeral service for Mrs. MacDougall by her family's request. A private family burial will take place in Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill, at a later date. Cremation has take place under the care and direction of H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home 5 Leverett Avenue, Kentville (902-678-2151) Donations in Mrs. MacDougall's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
