80, of Shaw Rd., Berwick, Kings Co., passed away Sunday May 25, 2008, in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Weymouth, he was a son of Fred and Blanche (Bennett) O'Neill. Calvin was a veteran of the Second World War and the Korean War and had been a member of the Black Watch Regiment. He was a dairy farmer and sold fruit & vegetables in Cape Breton for a number of years. Calvin was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He is survived by his wife, Sharon (Thorpe) Morgan - O'Neill; son, Robert O'Neill, Prospect Rd.; daughter, Doris Anne & Darrel Geddes, Waterville; step-children, William Morgan, New Minas, Vance & April Morgan, Chipman Brook; Mark Morgan, Berwick; Tammy & Laurie Barkhouse, Scotts Bay Rd.; six grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; five nephews; one niece. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Arthur, Ronald; sister, Alta. Visitation for Calvin will take place 7-9 p.m. Wednesday in the H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home, 192 Commercial St., Berwick, N.S., B0P 1E0, (902-538-9900), from where a Royal Canadian Legion Service will take place 2 p.m. Thursday May 29. Chaplain Ian S. Robb officiating, with Interment in the Berwick Cemetery. Donations in his memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
