91, Aylesford, Kings Co. passed away suddenly on Monday December 17, 2007, in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Nicholsville, Kings Co. he was a son of the late William & Lena (Parker) Nichols. Paul was a general merchant in Aylesford for over 35 years, he was a very helpful man who always had a kind word. He was a member of the Aylesford United Church, where he was a honourary life elder and was a founding member of the Aylesford & District Fire Department. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Surviving is his wife of 69 years, Kathleen (Devine) Nichols; sons, David (Doris) Nichols, Windsor; Gary (Diane) Nichols, Bedford; grandchildren, John, Greg & Jeff Nichols; Natasha Armstrong; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brother, Dr. Gerald Nichols; sisters, Margaret Comstock; Myrtle Caldwell. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Funeral service for Paul will take place 3 p.m. Thursday December 20, in the Aylesford United Church, 2414 Hwy # 1, Aylesford. Pastor Kay Dean D.M. officiating, with burial in the Aylesford Union Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations in his memory may be made to the Aylesford United Church.
