82, Middleton, formerly of Kentville; passed away Tuesday September 16, 2008 in Soldier's Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Campbellton, N.B., she was a daughter of the late Paul and Marie Savoie. Jean enjoyed traveling, knitting and sewing. She loved to share her crafts with others. She will be remembered for her extraordinary efforts of First Aid in the St. John's Ambulance during the Springhill disaster. She will be sadly missed by her many family and friends. Jean is survived by her son, Andrew (May), Summerside, P.E.I.; daughters, Deanna (Art) Bingham, Clarence, N.S.; Mary Lynn (Charles) MacIsaac, Lawrencetown Beach, N.S.; brother, Ernest (Shirley) Savoie, Campbellton, N.B.; sisters, Rosa (Ron) Richardson, Toronto, Ont., Lucy Pratt, North Bay, Ont; 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren. Besides her parents, Jean was predeceased by her husband, Edward Mullis; her brothers, Ben and Henry Savoie. Visitation for the late Mrs. Mullis will be held from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Friday September 19, 2008 in Murphy Community Center, 200 Richmond St., Charlottetown, P.E.I. followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m. in St. Dunstan's Basilica; Father Danny Wilson officiating. Interment will take place in Floral Hills Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home 5 Leverett Ave., Kentville (902-678-2151). In lieu of flowers, donations in Jean's memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association and the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
