75. Somerset, Kings Co., died peacefully at home, with family on Friday, October 2, 2009. Born in Berwick, he was a son of the late Clarence and Maude (Misner) Misner. Buddy was an adherent of the Berwick Baptist Church and prior to it closure, was a member of the Berwick # 53 I.O.O.F. Lodge, where he had held several offices including Secretary and Noble Grand. He had worked at Berwick Bakery and later as a School Bus Driver for Perry Rand Ltd., Cambridge. Buddy was well known as a handy man and " Mr. Fix It ". He will also be remembered as acting as Santa Claus for many groups and organization in Berwick and surrounding areas. Surviving are his wife, Laura E. (Hiltz) Misner, Somerset; sons, Garnet, Chipman Brook; Percy (Lynn), Berwick; Robert (Jo-Ann), Auburn; Victor and Tom, both at home; James (Karen) Cole Harbour; John, Garland; our Debbie, Aylesford; grandchildren, Jacson, Ont.; Beth-Ann, Alberta; step-grandson, Kenneth Connors, Chipman Brook; brothers, Wayne (Greta), Chipman Brook; Mervin (Sheila), Kentville; several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Danny; sisters, Mildred (Donald) Millett; Sylvia (Donald) Melvin; nephew, Warren Millett. Visitation for Buddy will take place 7-9 p.m., Monday, in the H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home, 192 Commercial St., Berwick, N.S., B0P 1E0, (902-538-9900), from where the funeral service will take place 2 p.m., Tuesday, October 6. Rev. Marilyn Rose and Rev. Murray Shaw officiating, with burial in the Lakeview Cemetery, Lakeville. Immediate family flowers only, donations in his memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Berwick Baptist Church.
